No Mommy!
Jenna has been at camp since Sunday with NO MOMMY. She and 6 of her best buddies are all together in a cabin having an amazing time I'm sure...eating piles of sugar at the canteen, not taking showers, not wearing sunscreen & possibly not brushing teeth. I'm picking her up tomorrow & I can't wait! It feels weird when one of your kids is gone for so long.
Today Kendall is at Valleyfair with a bunch of friends and NO MOMMY! She went with her church youth group & she's running around having the time of her life with a bunch of teenagers. Things are more fun without your mom when you're 14. I know it's normal and we want them to become independent so it's good. It just happens too fast. I get to pick her up in 45 minutes and hear all about it. Huh...I'm often looking forward to "picking them up and hearing all about it" these days. It's definitely a new phase of life.
Sheesh, I must be hormonal or something tonight! :)

I'm sorry mom, but sometimes it's good to have NO MOMMY as you put it. We all grow up...
It's true - we all turn into our mothers, don't we? Ari is only 7 and I already "want to hear all about it."
you could always have another one...babies are so much younger than teenagers. :) i guess i should just shut up about that eh?
seriously deb, i've always admired and respected you for how much you obviously love your girls. i imagine it will always mean the world to them to know that they have a mom who enjoys them as much as theirs does. you are great!
Jessica, wow...thanks.
Are you saying that you want to make a baby pact with me? Hmmmm...I may consider that. It could make for good blogging - chronicals of the young & old moms or something. :)
Did you scroll down & see the boa-wearing dog? I thought you might enjoy that.
yes, i saw that absurd costume! i think there should be a pre-requisite that all doggie attire must FIT the dog or be properly altered (i.e. thread or even velcro) to qualify. casey looks as though her gown were custom made for her petit frame. we all know that she is the true winner.
the problem with baby pacts is that it takes two to make a baby - and i'm just one. i could make a pact with you...but i don't know how effectively i could fulfill it. maybe someone will leave a baby on our doorstep. i bet we wouldn't leave it out in the cold. i think if they came with a guarantee that they would know and love Jesus, we would be a lot quicker at jumping on the baby train. but there's that darn unknowable bit.
auntie jess, i think we need another baby in the family. but that's just me. and everyone else in the family. i mean ben is going to grow up and...we need another baby in the family. no pressure.
I am not familiar with the NO MOMMY concept. Perhaps when my youngest is a teenager and I'm 64 years old I'll have an idea of what in the world you are talking of.
NO MOMMY, you call it. Huh. You speak a different language.
Skittles, not everyone grows up. Some people just get older. Your growing up nicely, but remember that you are never too old to sit on your mommy's lap and tell her she is pretty.
