good to see ya again

Remember these totally triumphant dudes? I was browsing Netflix this week trying to find movies that were fun & age appropriate for the whole family, when I remembered Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure. I'm lucky that my kids love the Cosbys, Full House, & pretty much all things 80's, so I figured I couldn't go wrong.

Tonight after Kendall's soccer team won their game (yay!) and the team went to Culvers (double yay!) we settled in for a night with Bill & Ted and a trip down memory lane for mom. I have to admit I probably laughed more than anyone else in the room (I think Jer actually dozed off toward the end-not unusual), but the girls were laughing too & fun was had by all. Hopefully this weekend we'll have a chance to watch my other Netflix pick this week, "Groundhog Day". I hope it's as clean as I think I remember it was. :)

Be excellent to each other......and PARTY ON DUDES!

I was just thinking about Bill and Ted a few days ago!
Glad to hear it's clean.
You may be dissapointed in Groundhog day.
There is some adult content in that one. :(

Well, there is the little issue of Bill's dad who married Bill & Ted's classmate who's 3 years older than them, but at least they're married. Remember "dude, it's your mom!". Ha.

Bummer about Groundhog Day. Hey, I also thinking about Joe vs. the Volcano & I know you're it's biggest fan. That one ok?

that was a really weird movie. it would have been cool to live in the 80's.

"this was a most excellent adventure, Ted."

dan might actually be Joe's biggest fan. not to steal anyone's claims or anything...but he does so love that movie. i'm glad to hear that you love it too, kerri! i can't think of anything questionable in it...but then, i don't have kids.

bill and ted...i always liked the "miss Of Ark" and "mister The Kid"

Jessica,
I am the biggest fan of Joe. But don't listen to me,
I'm a flibberdeegibbit.
Dan may "think" he is Joe's #1 fan....He may be....but it IS the single most preoccupation of my life.
I know he can get the job....but can he do the job...I'm not arguing that with you harry.

I could go on, and on.

Oh, and I have no response to that.

Ok, well I am going to rent Joe and become a bigger fan than all of you. I'm going to memorize the entire movie and spit it out line by line over a series of blog entries. So there.

I can honestly say that I think I have seen Bill and Ted about 100 times. I LOVE that movie. The sequel was not nearly as good but I think that was the movie I fell in love with Keanu Reeves. Although he's never really lived up to his Ted persona since then.

Great movie! Now I've got a hankering to see it again.

The 80's were GA-REAT, Skittles. Ask your mom if she can still do big hair. I know I can! HA!

Deb,
I own the movie.
you can watch it when you come visit.
Yet again....another reason to visit PA.

Tami, sadly I can no longer do big hair as my hair is naturally thin & limp and required a perm every 3 months to keep it big.

I was mighty good at it back in the day though...oh yes I was. We should all post pics sometime!
